How to apply for Access to Work Funding for ADHD
If you're dealing with ADHD, and the daily grind feels like an uphill battle, ‘Access to Work’ might just be the solution you've been seeking.
e.
Hi there amazing sisters,
Today, we're diving into a super important topic: Getting funded coaching, and work or business support, to enable you to live in your full potential, through the ‘Access to Work’ UK government grant funding.
(It’s a bit long for our distracted brains, but stick with me, this will be worth it and can make a real difference in your work life.)
What exactly is Access to Work?
Well, it's quite frankly a guardian angel for people facing physical or mental health challenges that impact their work.
Access to Work is a government grant in the UK that aims to provide support for individuals with health conditions that impact their ability to work effectively. This support is tailored to the specific needs of each individual, with the goal of facilitating their continued employment and productivity in the workplace.
Who qualifies for Access to work?
To qualify for Access to Work, you must be over 16 years old and either currently employed or preparing to enter paid employment, including self-employment.
This inclusivity extends to individuals running their own businesses, as well as those who are simultaneously employed and self-employed.
Eligibility for Access to Work is not contingent upon having a formal diagnosis.
Individuals with ADHD that require support for work are eligible to apply, regardless of whether they have received a formal diagnosis for their condition, although it does help to have one.
So, what kind of magic can this grant work?
Quite a lot, actually! Whether you're gearing up to start a new job, aiming to stay put in your current one, or dreaming of venturing into self-employment, Access to Work can offer you significant support.
The grant offers a significant financial benefit, with up to £66,000 available per year per person, although I hear that many get about a third of that, but still! This funding can make a substantial difference to your work life.
